2. Verify the State’s REAL ID Logo
Each state has its own logo, which is usually located on the bottom left or right corner of the card. Check if the logo matches the one used by your state’s DMV or equivalent agency. This logo is an important indicator that your card is a genuine REAL ID.
3. Inspect for Advanced Security Features
REAL IDs have advanced security features to prevent counterfeiting and tampering. Look for holograms, watermarks, microprinting (tiny text that can only be read under magnification), and UV printing (glows under ultraviolet light).
